How Selfless Acts Saved Magie Furst, Kindertransport Refugee, from the Holocaust.
Date(s) - Sunday, February 2, 2014
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Kindertransport was a British operation that saved 10,000 Jewish children from the Nazis. Magie Furst was one of the 10,000 children who survived the Holocaust because of the Kindertransport. Her escape from persecution was not an easy one. Terrible foster parents, uncertain living situations and trying to get by all alone while knowing that her mother and brother were both in England as well. It was not until the war ended that her family would be reunited. Come meet Magie, and listen to her story, as she grants insight into what it meant to walk away from the destruction of Hitler’s Germany, and towards the unknown.
$5 for nonmembers. RSVP at rsvp@DallasHolocaustMuseum.org
